The 1994 film 'Blown Away' featuring Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones, Forest Whitaker, and the late Lloyd Bridges is one of our favorites because of the incredible score by Alan Silvestri. Nothing sums up the genius of Silvestri's composition in this film better than the opening cue called 'Main Title - Prince's Day'. With the vocals over the water, one gets a sense of calm, innocence, but also tragedy. It's as if we are lamenting something before it even happens. Musical foreshadowing? This is the brilliance of the score.
If you haven't seen the film, definitely do so.
