After working with filmmakers Angelo Pizzo and David Anspaugh on their successful 186 film 'Hoosiers' which garnered the film an Oscar nomination for Best Original Score, Jerry Goldsmith was again a part of their team for the 1993 biographical film, 'Rudy'. Considered to be one of the best and most inspiring sports film of all time, 'The Final Game' is one of the best score cues composed, featuring a swirl of emotional payoffs that accumulate throughout the story. There is absolutely a reason why this film is within our film concert repertoire - it is a fantastic testament to the triumph of the human spirit, in addition to one of the best scores ever composed. Enjoy this iconic scene and cue from the film.
