There is no question that the film and the score for Ridley Scott's 1982 movie 'Blade Runner' are both equal masterpieces in their own right. The soundtrack is a dark melodic combination of synth and classic composition which was nominated for a BAFTA and Golden Globe for best original score. To this day, there has been nothing quite like it. Vangelis composed this score right after winning an Academy Award for 'Chariots of Fire', and continues to be one of the most unique and best scores ever composed.
