As you probably know, we are huge fans of M. Night Shyamalan's work - especially the films where he collaborated with the incredible James Newton Howard. This score is nothing short of gorgeous, and in fact was nominated for an Academy Award in 2004.
This clip features two snapshots from different parts of the story - the first being a dynamic mix of tension and terror, with a gorgeous slow motion shot featuring violinist Hilary Hahn at the helm. The second cue, "The Gravel Road", is near the end of the film which showcases the big twist as Ivy (Bryce Dallas Howard) searches for medicine outside of their compound. It is, again, a beautiful cue featuring Hilary Hahn on violin - one of our favorites. There is no question that M. Night's work with James Newton Howard is something quite unique and special, and we recommend you see and experience all of them. Enjoy!
