Ep. 156 - John Williams' 'Home Alone'
It's The Holidays!

Comedy, Kids and Family, 04-May-2022
We think it is fair to say that the 1990 Chris Columbus film 'Home Alone' is one of the best Christmas movies ever made. Produced by the great John Hughes, it was nominated for multiple awards including two Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song.
The opening of the film demonstrates John Williams' ability to immediately let you know that while this seems like a Christmas story, something is off. It's the subtle change from major to minor 10 seconds in that does it, which subconsciously sets the stage for what's to come.
