James Newton Howard's work never fails to impress us, which is why there are so many Film Music Snapshots celebrating his work. Interestingly, Howard approached the animated film as a live-action movie, and created different musical themes for the cultures of the surface world and Atlantis. There is an Indonesian orchestral sound featuring bells, gongs, and chimes. The great thing about the film overall is there are many scenes that have no dialogue, and the music is able to convey each emotion so perfectly. Enjoy this one.
