In our 200th episode, we felt it appropriate to end with one of our favorite Kathryn Bigelow cyberpunk thrillers. Released in the mid-90s, we love the film's grittiness, in addition to making MiniDiscs really go mainstream. Celebrating the turn of the millennium, this scene comes at the end when Lenny (Ralph Fiennes) and Mace (Angela Bassett) come together during the infamous new year's countdown. While many thought it was going to be end of the world at the time, there is a weird nostalgia present here, and we feel this is one of Graeme Revell's best work. Many of the themes heard in this film was later used in 'Red Planet', which he also scored.
Regardless, enjoy this one and have a great New Year.

Ep. 198 - Miles Goodman's 'Teen Wolf'
'Teen Wolf' is one of those rare 80s gems that has stood the test of time. Being a massive commercial success (grossing $80+ million) at the time with a budget only a little above $1 million, there is no question that what makes this film incredibly special is Michael J. Fox in the leading role.

Ep. 197 - James Horner's 'Willow'
'I am the greatest swordsman that ever lived.'
There is no question that the original film is something quite special. With Val Kilmer's incredible performance as Madmartigan, to Warwick Davis' as the delightful Willow, it is quite possibly one of James Horner's best scores to-date.
