What an intro!
This snapshot features the song "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits. The decision to use the song was made by music supervisor Andrea von Foerster, who had to find a replacement when clearance could not be obtained in time for Don Henley's "Dirty Laundry" and "The Boys of Summer". "Money for Nothing" ended up being played during the opening logos and start of the picture, an arrangement that von Foerster found perfect. Even though the song was released in 1985, a year after the time in which the film is set, von Foerster considered it an "iconic song she felt it too strong to let go".
