We consider this to be one of the best intros ever, composed by the incredible Jerry Goldsmith. Performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra, this score in particular is hailed as one of Goldsmith's best. If you have the chance to grab the Deluxe Edition released by Varèse Sarabande, you absolutely should. Goldsmith masterfully blended electronic and orchestral elements throughout. Enjoy this great blast from the past.
