It is hard to believe that this film was made nearly 13 years ago, with a message that is so much more poignant in todays age. What is there not to love about this film? Andrew Stanton's beautiful Pixar-animated feature is one of our absolute favorite films and scores of all-time. This scene in particular is at the beginning of the story, when we are just introduced to WALL-E as a character. Juxtaposing his innocent routine and perspective with the garbage-strewn wasteland of Earth is striking, and Newman again does what he does best - creating a warm, but foreboding feeling as we are thrown into WALL-E's routine.
It is without question that everyone should see and experience this film. If you haven't done so, do so immediately.
