Ep. 134 - John Williams' 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™'
Adventure, Fantasy, Kids and Family, Music, 16-Feb-2022
There is no question that each cue from the score to this film is gorgeous and unique, with this being one of them. "Buckbeak's Flight" is not only just a beautiful theme with sweeping strings and percussion (and don't forget the subtle flute!), but it comes at time when Harry, just for a second, lets go and lives in the moment. Away from all his friends, classmates, and Hogwarts, it is the first time we ever see Harry let his guard down. Even Buckbeak himself lightly touches the water as a sign that he too feels free while taking in all the beauty around him. It's a great moment, and the music scores this perfectly.
