Ep. 178 - Clint Mansell's 'Moon'
Drama, Sci-Fi, 12-Jun-2009
Duncan Jones' 'Moon' is nothing short of thought provoking, and beautiful to watch. There is no question that Sam Rockwell's performance is incredible throughout the entire film, in addition to Clint Mansell's beautiful score which propels the narrative forward.
This scene in particular takes place at the end of the film, where Sam Bell tries to help himself get back home. Without giving too much away, the simple piano motif by Mansell is just wonderful to experience. With the emotional investment you already have for the character(s), the score just intensifies the journey of the character. If you haven't seen the film, do so immediately.
