Ep. 61 - Nina Simone's 'The Thomas Crown Affair'
Crime, Music, Romance, Thriller, 05-May-2021
With an original score actually composed by Bill Conti, the variety of jazz arrangements within the score fit perfectly with the famous track, 'Sinnerman' performed by none other than the great Nina Simone. Nothing compares to the original 1968 film with Steve McQueen, however John McTiernan did a fantastic job at rebranding the original into something fresh and fun. This scene in particular comes at the end of the film, and Simone's song fits incredibly well with the editing and subtle action we see unfold on-screen. Enjoy this, and watch the original and remake if you haven't seen them!
