Ep. 74 - Thomas Newman's 'Six Feet Under'
Comedy, Drama, Music, 21-Jun-2021
What can you say about a show that is considered to be one of the greatest television series of all time? Created by Alan Ball (American Beauty), the opening titles of this series are quite something to experience. Not only is the editing and aesthetic spot-on, but the music by Thomas Newman captures everything there is to know about the quirky, dark, and incredibly emotional series. The great thing about a title sequence is that the editing and music are perfectly in sync with each other.
Newman won the 2002 Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music and two Grammy Awards in 2003 for Best Instrumental Composition and Best Instrumental Arrangement.
