Ep. 99 - John Williams' 'E.T.'
Kids and Family, Music, Sci-Fi, 15-Sep-2021
What can be said about the genius of this score? It was the fourth in history to accomplish the feat or winning the Academy Award, Golden Globe, Grammy, and BAFTA (the previous two, 'Star Wars' and 'Jaws', were also composed by Williams, who remains the only person to have won all awards for the same score more than once).
For this sequence, we compiled three cues that are simply phenomenal to experience back-to-back. After 'Escape Chase' and 'Saying Goodbye', the 'End Credits' is a beautiful, simple and dynamic repeat of all the themes in the film but on piano. It's an exquisite demonstration of John Williams' composing genius. Enjoy!
